Its hard to believe but….

We have decided to give the half-marathon a go. We have hopes, fears, dreams, families, weight-loss targets and future plans, but ultimately, what we really want in 2022 is to continue to support the local community that we operate in.

At Redmayne Arnold & Harris, we have always prided ourselves on staying connected to people. Having been here for over 30 years and witnessed the various challenges that the past 18 months has brought to clients young and old, we felt it was important to give something back.

So on March 6th, a brave band of staff will be running the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon to raise money for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. The charity aims to support people in Cambs living with an advanced serious illness or a life-limiting condition and those who need end-of-life care. It will cost an estimated £10.5 million this year to operate their services, which are provided free of charge to those who need their vital care and support in the local community. In 2020, despite the challenges the pandemic brought, we raised in excess of £5400 for the Arthur Rank Hospice, and to start 2022 off as we meant to go on, we will be looking to raise £2000 for the charity through the half marathon, and hopefully, finish the course all in one piece and with some degree of dignity.

Despite the dark nights and January weather, training has started, and preparations are well underway. With our team having a combined age of over 200 years, it’s safe to say we are going to need all the training, help and support we can get!
